How it works
From first call to green card interview
How a marriage green card case usually moves when the spouse is already in the U.S.
- 1. Consultation Tell us how and when your spouse entered the U.S. and your immigration history. We look at whether adjustment of status fits.
- 2. Petition and application Form I-130 and Form I-485 filed together, with the affidavit of support (I-864) and the medical exam (I-693).
- 3. Biometrics and notices USCIS schedules fingerprints and a photo at an Application Support Center, and may send a request for evidence.
- 4. Interview We prepare you both for the interview at the USCIS field office. Bring the originals of everything you filed.

I highly recommend Neal to anyone looking for a good immigration attorney. He is honestly one of the best attorneys I’ve ever worked with. Neal helped me with my adjustment of status case and also handled my response to a Request for Evidence (RFE). From the beginning, he was very knowledgeable, diligent, and responsive. Whenever I had a question or was worried about something, I could call him and he would take the time to explain things and help me understand what was going on. He was always available when I needed him, which made the whole process a lot less stressful. What I appreciated most was that I never felt like I was just another case. He paid attention to the details and genuinely cared about my situation and the outcome of my case. If you’re looking for an immigration lawyer in Connecticut, including the New Haven or Hartford area, or even the Boston area, I would definitely recommend Neal. Especially if you have a family-based immigration case involving adjustment of status or an RFE, I would feel very comfortable recommending him. I’m very grateful for all of his help and everything he did for me.

Neil has been absolutely amazing to have as our attorney, he has been helpful in answering all our questions and alleviating any concerns when it came to our I-751 petition. He has extensive knowledge of the immigration landscape. he is amazing to talk and very down to earth with the questions and the process in which he used to send in the forms. He absolutely used in extensive knowledge of the many small details on the US immigration system to help and educate myself and my wife. I absolutely would recommend you use him to help make your immigration process much easier.
